LOVE OR DUTY... AN ASSASSIN MUST CHOOSE
Picking up where the first film left off, young assassins Azumi and Nagara continue their mission to prevent a civil war by taking out the last of their targets. In their hunt for Masayuki Sanada, who is protected by both an army and a dangerous ninja clan, they meet Ginkaku, a petty thief whose resemblance to former friend Nachi is enough to shake Azumi's sense of purpose. While on the hunt, Kanbei-the samurai whose Lord Kiyomasa fell under Azumi's blade in the first film-vows vengeance and will stop at nothing to kill Azumi and Nagara.

When the line between the hunters and the hunted blurs, who will succeed in spilling blood first?
